Here you’ll find answers to the most frequently asked questions, helping you better understand AGIBOT’s products and services.
No.2555, Xiupu Road, Kangqiao Business Oasis,
Caohejing, Pudong New Area, Shanghai, China.
Does AGIBOT D1 Edu have computing power? Does it have industrial control computers?
It does not have an industrial control computer. It is equipped with a main control board and built-in computing power, but the computing power is not open to users. The AGIBOT D1 Ultra is the same; neither is equipped with an NVIDIA Jetson module.
Is the underlying control system ROS2?
Both the AGIBOT D1 Edu and AGIBOT D1 Ultra support ROS2 low-level control.
Does AGIBOT D1 Edu and AGIBOT D1 Ultra use position control or speed control?
They use speed control mode.
What's the difference between AGIBOT D1 Edu and AGIBOT D1 Ultra?
The core performance parameters are basically the same. The main differences are twofold: firstly, the appearance design is different; secondly, the protection and impact resistance ratings are different. The AGIBOT D1 Ultra has an IP54 protection rating, while the AGIBOT D1 Edu has an IP32 protection rating.
Can the drive interface and drive protocol at the motor and controller level of the robot dog be made available to users?
The leg motor and control layer drive protocol belong to the underlying core control protocol, which is not currently open to the public and there are no plans to open it in the future.
In the product description for the robot dog, there are two data points regarding load weight. What do they mean? For example, 【Load 5kg (Maximum Load 8kg)】
The smaller value represents thecontinuous load. Under this weight, the robot dog can operate for a long time without the motor stopping due to overheating, until the battery is depleted. The larger value represents theextreme load. Under this weight, the robot dog can only operate for a short time. After more than ten minutes, the motor may stop working due to overheating (the specific shutdown time depends on the working conditions and product model).
Can the robot dog be equipped with an external GPU? Can it connect to the intranet and internal applications and services?
It supports external GPUs and can communicate with the robot dog's internal network via the standard SDK to connect to the intranet and internal application services.
Are there any recommended models for accessories such as upper-mounted radar and robotic arms?
There is currently no officially recommended model; users can choose the model according to their own needs.
The working temperature for dogs is 0-40°C. Can they not work below zero degrees Celsius? Can they not go outside in winter?
The robot dog is equipped with a lithium battery. Battery performance gradually decreases as the temperature drops, but it does not immediately stop working when the temperature drops to 0℃. The official guarantee is that the battery will operate stably above 0℃; the probability of battery failure increases below 0℃, and there are differences in consistency between different batteries. Some batteries can still work at -20℃, while others will not work at -5℃.
What algorithm does the AGIBOT D1 Ultra use for positioning and navigation? Is it LiDAR + SLAM? Does it incorporate VLN technology?
The standard version of AGIBOT D1 Ultra does not have LiDAR positioning and navigation functions; it is not connected to large models, does not support VLN technology, and has no interactive capabilities.
What impact does a robot dog have on electromagnetic interference in special scenarios such as power plants?
Preliminary assessment indicates no significant impact.
What is the resolution of the image transmission of this AGIBOT D1 Edu?
The image transmission resolution is 720P.
Which of the robot dogs have built-in computing power? Which require an external controller from a partner?
The AGIBOT D1 Pro/Edu/Ultra versions all come with 6 TOPS of built-in computing power, but this computing power is not open to users for secondary development. An external control box is required for development use.
What is the battery life of the AGIBOT D1 Pro remote control? How long does it take to fully charge?
The AGIBOT D1 Pro/Edu comes with a screenless remote control powered by AA batteries. The AGIBOT D1 Ultra and higher models come with a remote control with a screen.
Does AGIBOT D1 Ultra support hot-swappable battery replacement?
Hot-swappable battery replacement is not supported; the battery cannot be replaced while the system is powered on.
Do you have the weight data for the AGIBOT D1 Pro battery pack?
The AGIBOT D1 Pro battery pack weighs 1.7kg.
